Transmission Loss due to a Movable Wall

In this demo example, the transmission loss due to a rigid movable wall is investigated. A coupled multidomain BEM-FEM formulation is used by Coustyx to model the two way coupling between the wall structure and the source and receiver fluid domains. The wall structure FE model is further reduced using structure invacuo modes. The transmission loss results from Coustyx are compared with the exact analytical solution. Excellent agreement between the two is observed.
